Booking my 'next day, early morning' appointment (on the web), checking-in (by computer screen) and seeing the Doctor (although it was not my registered Doctor) all turned out to be very straightforward and surprisingly simple. Despite the disruption of snow and hideous traffic jams on the day, I waited only 5 minutes beyond my appointed time and the Doctor was friendly, to the point and accurate in her response. Within a matter of hours I was enjoying the early benefits of having received appropriate treatment, and on this occasion at least, I am delighted to give feedback as I can find absolutely no fault whatsoever. I am simply grateful.

My GP is Nina Newton and she has always been very professional, understanding and attentive to my requirements. I have though on occasions, observed receptionists, both on and off the telephone, being less than helpful to others.

There is never a problem when the issue is not urgent and an appointment is straightforward. When one needs to see someone within a couple of days it is often a problem which creates worry. My issue is with needing blood tests etc. We have to wait to see the GP and then after that make an appointment with the nurse which can spread over more than two weeks due to availability of appointments. If we know we are going to need a blood test why can't we make the appointments at the same time so that after getting authorisation from the GP we can have the nurse appointment in place. If it is not required it can be cancelled. Despite the above comments I am still very happy with the practice and my doctor, Dr Peter Deveson, in particular.

Would like to see facility to discuss issues by email thereby saving surgery time and minimising infection risk to and by others. This would also reduce waste on repeat prescription medication. In past have turned down medications only for them, i suspect, to resell and inflate pharmacy's profits. Not always possible to indicate how much medication required 2 months later. Also time should be put aside to discuss results of diagnostic tests over phone with own GP.

For some unkown reason for the last three times that I had book an apponintment to see my doctor I have to wait for at least 15 minutes until my name appears on the screen and I can see my doctor. Another issue as everytime I am with my doctor on the consulation room, someone from the surgery knocks on the door to discuss other issues with the doctor that are unrelated with my appointment.
